The Tulsa Homeschool Choir (THC) was birthed in 2001 from the vision of Jana Davis Tollefson. We have grown since then to encompass a primary choir (ages 3 & 4), two elementary choirs (K-1st grade and 2nd-3rd grades), an intermediate choir (4th-6th grades), a concert choir (7th-12th grades), and an ensemble, totaling well over 100 members. The Ensemble is chosen by audition and serve as “musical ambassadors” for THC in a variety of venues.

The Elementary Choirs receive a balanced teaching of theory, choir technique, Kodaly training* and performance technique. The Concert Choir studies a wide variety of repertoire both sacred and secular, choral technique, vocal technique, performance, and some applied theory. The choirs perform not only with voice, but also instruments, dance, and hand motions. Our music is varied, from patriotic to classical to spiritual.

In addition to annual concerts, we have participated in:
  • Silver Dollar City Student Music Spotlight
  • Tulsa Parade of Lights
  • Broken Arrow Rooster Days
  • CHEF Homeschool Conference
  • Herbal Affair
  • a mini-musical
Tulsa Homeschool Choir is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and welcomes donations of all sizes.  (All donations are tax-deductible and we will gladly provide a tax receipt for your records.)  A Board of Directors oversees the business of the choirs, and a small army of volunteers is critical to the smooth operation of all we do.  We seek opportunities to minister to the public.
